Well done to all the boys who made the trip to Gordano on the weekend.
The fifteen boys put in a superb effort against a rotating 25 big players from the Gordano team. The Crusaders ambition to run the ball, and skill levels shown by each of the fifteen boys on the field were duly complemented by the Gordano coaches. The Gordano team were physically very strong and absolutely no push-overs as we had to work hard for every point of the game.
Keep an eye on the blog, and we can hopefully get everyone together to celebrate the season and look forward to a summer of eternal sunshine before we start our jorney into under 14s rugby.

Finally, from everyone involved, a big thank you to all the parents who put in so much time and effort to get the boys to games and training. Especially the ones who reply promptly to Teamer, as it makes the organisation for Sunday so much easier.

BBQ at gordano

Gordano are kindly putting some food for us (BBQ weather permitting) after the game on Sunday. It might be worth taking some snacks for the journey but that should be all that you need.

Numbers for Sunday

If you haven't already, could you PLEASE reply to the Teamer text for the Gordano trip.
Also, if you could text me or email with the number of seats you want on the bus that would be great.

GORDANO TOUR - SUNDAY 28th APRIL - Dept. 8.30am

The Crusaders will end another successful season on and off the pitch with a whirlwind tour of Gordano RFC in Bristol on Sunday 28th April.
The now famous Cider Express will be departing Mumbles RFC at 8.30am
This will allow us some time to get some food and relax around Gordano before Kick Off at 1.00pm.
We aim to return after a few drinks in the Gordano RFC bar, approx 7.30pm

There is a charge of £10pp for the return journey, which is payable on the bus before we leave.

IMPORTANT: Could you please reply to the Teamer text with 'M' to say you will be meeting to get the bus from Mumbles on Sunday morning.

It would be great if as many boys as possibly could get the bus up, but if you are planning on driving to Gordano please text 'Y' to the Teamer text

If you cannot make it, please decline with 'N' as usual.

There are 49 seats on the bus, 24 players in the squad. So there is room for every player plus one adult, however, some players may not make it, and some may travel alone. If you require more than one extra seat for brothers/sisters/parents/ please let me know by text or email and we will do our best to get everyone on board.

LATCH Dinner - 26th April

The Crusaders have booked a table of 10 at the Latch dinner on 26th April, to help the u14s raise money for LATCH.

Dylan Gunner, a 14 year old boy from Mumbles u14s team, was diagnosed with a Brain Tumour and is now going through 12 months of treatment. The LATCH Organisation has been magnificent with their support to both Dylan and his family and will continue with this support throughout his treatment. Dylan is a local West Cross / Mumbles boy and has been playing rugby for Mumbles RFC from the age of 6.

The evening is a MALE ONLY Lounge suit affair with a three course meal. Dai Vaughan (Chairman of Dunvant RFC and an excellent speaker) is doing the after dinner speech, there will be a raffle and an auction, including a signed Swans shirt (Michu’s) and more.
The tickets for our table are £25 each and it would be great to see some of the Crusaders Dads there to help support this worthy cause, and enjoy a night out.

We need to pay the money by 12th April, so if you could email through your intention to attend to we will allocate you a space.
